MISSION
Emilbanca San Lócca Day is an event for all ages, created by the Succede solo a Bologna Association with the aim of rediscovering the portico of San Luca.
QThis experience will be accented by various activities, such as games, tasting itineraries, typical local curiosities, sports, and music, all in the name of fun.
Emilbanca San Lócca Day has a second purpose, which is also very important to us: charity.
Indeed, each year the Association dedicates the event to a different charity according to themes that contribute to the preservation of the territory:
– 2014 fundraising for the restoration of the Portico of San Luca
– 2015 fundraising for the restoration of the Neptune Fountain
– 2016 fundraising for the restoration of the Basilica of San Petronio, the “I support San Petronio” project.
– 2017 fundraising for the maintenance of the San Luca Sanctuary
This year, in addition to our continued commitment to the San Luca Sanctuary, the event will be dedicated to the restoration of the famous San Procolo Column..
STANDS
Along the entire route leading from the Meloncello to the Basilica of San Luca, about 200 stands will be on display to make the walk even more exciting.
The stands will be managed by:
– Associazione Girotondo, kids area
– Associazione Crea Artisti, creative stands
– Appenino Slow, food area
– M.M, lounge area
– CSI, sports area
– 3T, automobile area
SHOWS
Emilbanca San Lócca Day is an event created from many different initiatives. In fact, there will be numerous artists throughout the day beneath the portico that leads walkers from the Meloncello to the Basilica, as well as the diffusion of engaging musical entertainment thanks to the event’s official radio station,Radio Bruno.
GUIDED TOURS
During the day, our guides will be available to help visitors discover the typical features and curiosities of the world’s longest portico.
SPORTS AREA
Emilbanca San Lócca Day doesn’t forget the importance of physical activity for a healthy and fun lifestyle. For this reason, there will be various opportunities to keep fit during the journey thanks to several specific sporting activities managed by the CSI.
