Competition sponsored by Vittoria Borghetti to remember her husband, Guido Zucchi , a Physician and poet whose memory has titled the initiative, organized together with the association “Succede solo a Bologna”.
The competition, which in 2016 saw 800 participants, is also open this year to poets of all ages. The poets will be divided by category: Senior (from 18 years), Junior (12 to 18 years) and Baby (up to 11 years), each with prizes. Registration is free and interested, Italian and foreign, have time till October 8 to send up to three free themed poems.
CONTEST REGULATION
SINGLE POETRY SECTION – Send by 15.10.2017 from one to three poems, short stories, all in word or pdf format, are also allowed in the competition, using the form you will find at the bottom of the page.
TOPIC – Free
TEXTS – Texts must be in Italian or dialect of any region (with attached translation into Italian), edited or unpublished. Texts that have already been awarded in the top 3 places in other competitions are not allowed. Italian and foreign authors can participate.
COPY NUMBER – Participants must send a single copy of their works by email via the form at the bottom of the page, filling it in every part of it or by post at the address of our association.
REGISTRATION FEE – Participation is completely free
CARRYING OUT OF THE CONTEST
First phase – All the works received will be examined by the jury and the poems that will be part of the anthology will be selected.
Second phase – The jury will examine the works and choose the finalists.
Third Phase – FINAL: on 29.10.2017 will end the first round in which only half of the poems will be selected to access to the vote of the audience. From 31.10.2017 at 7 pm the poems admitted to the second round and in the anthology will be published for a week online, where anyone can vote for their favorite poems for the public prize. Among them, the winners of the On-Line Section will be chosen.
Fourth phase – The jury will select the 3 prize winners for each category (BABY – JUNIOR – SENIOR) and will also select a DIALECT poetry. Winners of each category will be proclaimed and made public only during the awards ceremony.

BIOGRAPHY
Guido Zucchi was born in Bologna on April 26, 1924. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1949.
Professor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he taught for years. Physician and blood donor of the Avis Association.
He wrote a textbook on Chinese medicine and a collection of poetry in Bolognese dialect.
He has long cultivated the passion for painting, photography and music. He is registered as a composer at SIAE.
