The association Succede solo a Bologna since April will open a new tour that will give the possibility to the visitors to access the terrace of the Sanctuary. The visitors can admire, from an height around of 42 meters, Bolognesi Hills, Bologna city centre and much more.

Succede solo a Bologna has created a tour path allowing visitors at San Luca’s Sanctuary to admire the view from the Dome and discover the recently opened Crypt

The highest dome in Europe open to visitors

Ascend the sanctuary’s original spiral staircase to reach the ancient rooms. For an even better experience, panoramic binoculars will be provided for all our guests.

Visitors can admire, at a height of approximately 42 meters: Bolognese Hills, Bologna’s city center and much more.

You can visit the viewpoint with the Monuments Care Donor Pass with a donation of 5€

A Crypt the has been closed for centuries

Entrance found through the central door in the courtyard.

Many famous people and objects that contributed to the construction of San Luca have been enclosed within this large crypt. Among them, Cardinal Giovanni Battista Nasalli Rocca, who was archbishop of Bologna for 32 years.

San Luca Experience Access Regulations

1. Do not dirt, litter or damage the structure in any way.
2. Take only necessary items with you during the visit.
3. Do not lean over the railings.
4. Do not run.
5. Visitors are forbidden from littering, defacing, or damaging the structure in any way.
6. In case of objects falling from the safety railings do not try to recover them; inform the security officers.
Properly trained staff (scaffholding or rope workers) will recover the object in due time and return it to the
owner. Any possible costs will be charged to the visitor.

8. Minors are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or other adult who is responsible for their behaiviour.
Minors must be under adult supervision at all times.

10.Security officers have the right to suspend or deny entrance to anyone they deem unsuitable for safety reasons.
11.All visitors must first participate in a safety briefing (entrace and safety procedures, emergency response, etc.) regardless of any prior knowledge the visitor may have.
12. Visitors are responsible for compliance with the recommendations and instructions that have been given in the
informative briefings. Violations will result in expulsion from the visit.
13. Smoking is not allowed during the visit.
14. Pets are not allowed
15. Anyone who behaves in a dangerous manner, endangering himself and causing problems for others, will be turned
away.
16. Management is not responsible for any accidents caused by negligence or non-compliance with safety regulations, nor are they responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings.
17. In case of emergency follow the instruction of security officers.
18. Unfortunately access is not permitted to wheelchairs or baby strollers/pushchairs.
