Succede solo a Bologna will host the exhibition “Art and Life” inside the Conserva di Valverde, showcasing pieces by the little patients of Ageop Ricerca
This exhibition seeks to display the dreams, hopes, imagination, and creativity of the young patients at the Pediatric Oncohematology department of Policlinico Sant’Orsola-Malpighi in Bologna, cared for daily by Ageop Ricerca
The drawings are a product of the creative laboratory created by Ageop Ricerca for its young patients with the collaboration of Giovanni Manna (children’s book illustrator) and Laura Manaresi (children’s book author). Both the Ageop Ricerca 2020 calendar and this exhibition are products of the laboratory.
Art is an expression or imitation of Life and nature. In this case, art is an actual PART of life for these little superheroes.
Proceeds from the sale of each piece will be donated to Ageop Ricerca, contributing to the assistance, reception, and Scientific Research projects that the parent association has been dedicated to since 1982 in aid of small cancer patients and their families.
The exhibition will be paired with a number of pieces taken from previous editions of the Ageop Ricerca calendars, to be held on January 24 and 25 at Punto Ageop. The Ageop solidarity shop, in Via Bentivogli 9, will also sell prints of the most beautiful pieces to finance association projects that support children and families of Pediatric Oncology.
