Basilica of San Petronio

The Basilica of San Petronio is the 6th largest church in the world, dominating Piazza Maggiore and all of Bologna since 1390.The unfinished facade also makes it the world’s largest brick church.

The attic of San Petronio

San Petronio Basilica also has an enchanting attic: a sort of wood filled forest that is normally closed to the public. Now that a terrace has been built for renovation works though, it is finally possible to visit and discover this magical wooden rooftop.
